Mama Birds Know

Saturday, November 14, 2009

When chicks peck their way out of shells that are too small, mothers and some fathers are ready to care for their offspring. They prepare a nest, a home; they bring food for their little ones. Newborn chicks are helpless and vulnerable and instinctively these parents know how to care for their little ones.

They also know when it's time to kick them out of the nest. They know when its time for dependent chicks to try their wings and perfect their natural ability to fly. Some birds hang out at the nest for awhile even after they've learned to fly but not for too long. There comes a time when parents instinctively know their work is done and it's time for offspring to perfect their natural ability to fly. There are no more worms to bring back to the nest, it's time for them to fly.

This momma knows her work is done and it's time for natural and spiritual children to fly.
